An unknown organism
Two small, round, green cells are sitting still inside a transparent membrane, but we are not sure what this organism is.
Commentary by Prof. Yuji Tsukii, Hosei University
The organism in the process of dividing could be either
Chlamydomonas or Chlorococcum.
Chlamydomonas divides into 4 daughter cells,
while Chlorococcum doubles with each division: 2,4, 8 etc daughter cells.
