Ciliate with green chloroplasts

This ciliate is deep green because chloroplasts are densely packed inside its body. These chloroplasts are continually moving along the inner cell wall. The whole body is covered with short cilia. The top of the body is flat and slightly angled.

Commentary by Prof. Yuji Tsukii, Hosei University
This organism is certainly Paramecium bursaria.

The description of chloroplasts being packed inside its body is not exact. The green particles inside are symbiotic single-celled green algae, which may belong to the genus Chlorella.
