A colony of small organisms

After being collected from a paddy field, the sample was put on 1% agar plate with a drop of distilled water and kept for a few days.

Many small organisms have gathered to make a spherical colony, which is slowly moving around.

These organisms appear to be a colony of Microcystis composed of small cyanobacterial cells.

However, as the color of each member cell is not a definite green, we cannot exclude the possibility that the organisms may be a different kind of bacteria rather than part of the cyanobacteria group.
